Michael has been an independent arbitrator since 1994 with over 150 cases. He is on the roster of neutrals for groups as follows: (1) American Arbitration Association (AAA, on commercial disputes, e-commerce, technology and domain name disputes panels), (2) Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA, formerly the National Association of Securities Dealers [NASD]), (3) Kaiser Permanente Independent Arbitrators Panel and (4) National Futures Association (NFA).

Michael has been a mediator since 2007. He earned his Mediator Credential by the National Conflict Resolution Center in San Diego, California. He is on the panel of neutral, impartial mediators for (1) San Diego Superior Court and (2) FINRA.

Over 25 years of experience as corporate in-house U.S. lawyer and English solicitor, executive and independent legal adviser to domestic and international companies from entrepreneurial start-up ventures to Fortune 50 corporations. Lead lawyer (negotiated, drafted, closed) for over $3 billion of mergers & acquisitions transactions and legal counsel for over $2 billion of project financing transactions.

Juris Doctor and M.B.A. degrees from U.C.L.A. B.A. degree from University of Southern California (magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa). Certificate in Spanish Language from U.C.S.D. Extension.
